Firstly, what is the point of going to some oddball and being told information about your family and stuff that you already fucking know?
Secondly, if these people have such powers then why are they always such unkempt potless oddballs rather than rich oddballs? Can't they get some of the ghosts and that they chat with to at least tell them the fucking lottery result for next week?
why would a ghost know next weeks lottery results?

friend of mine went to one and had her dead brother come through - he died in a motorbike accident the previous year
the medium told her he was there holding up his arm and saying I've found it - unbeknown to the medium he had lost his arm in the accident and his arm was never found at the scene (they think it had been taken by a fox or something)
no one outside of the immediate family knew about the arm

Mediums dobt actually predict the future though do they - we have Carney, Osborne, etc to do that - they claim to talk to the dead (like ray winstone on here)

As with all things, there are some good mediums and some not so good. But if someone you've never met before can give you chapter and verse on deceased relatives and things about yourself that no one else can possibly know, it does make you think. As per the original poster.

Do they really? Doesn't make much sense to me. I thought they just pretended to communicate with dead people and why would dead people suddenly be able to see into the future?
I guess if you're going to make up bollocks you might as well front it out and go all the way.

I suppose it depends on the individual claim of the medium, as far as im aware, most mediums claim they have some kind of psychic or clairvoyant supernatural powers. Some would even claim they could accurately predict the lottery numbers but wouldn't due to "ethical reasons".

These "spirits" have the whole "other world" in which to float around, but they need two people in close visible proximity to each other in this world before they (can) "communicate".
No backwardly compatible internet or 4G in the "other" world then; plenty of backward people in this one.
